Cool MySpace Backgrounds

Ever since David Cook was proclaimed as the new American Idol, his song "Time of My Life" has been dominating the airwaves. Speaking of which, I found a really cute MySpace background over at www.codemylayout.com

And it’s Stewie!!! The man-talking sarcastic little baby of The Family Guy. I just looove that show! Cracks me up all the time! So anyways, here’s Stewie trying out for American Idol, with the trio of judges Randy, Paula and Simon. Wish I could have seen this episode. It would probably be a barrel of laughs! I love how very detailed the graphics are, that it actually captured the American Idol audition room to a tee. Randy and Simon look similar in their cartoon versions, with the exception of Paula. And what is with that outfit she’s wearing?! She always looks so classy in the show, but in here, she looks like a hooker with the fishnet-like things on her arms. That aside, it’s still one great MySpace background!

This is just some great graphics! Absolutely brilliant! Don’t you think so? I just love the colors and the flashiness of this MySpace background. This is actually Empress Windy, as it says so in the graphics. You have there a pretty gorgeous female clad in a sexy white flowing gown that’s caught in a breeze, streaming down the back. Everything is white, from her hair to her gown, a color that’s symbolic of the wind. What I love about this background is the backdrop of the Empress. I’m not sure if it’s cloth or the wind itself that has different colors, but hey, the graphics are just pretty impressive. There’s a light shining from the Empress, signifying her magic, and the multitude of colors that emanate from her speak of a mystical tone. Whoever made this MySpace background, I only have one thing to say: what an artist!

This is quite a very charming MySpace background. I also got this over at www.freecodesource.com. They really have the coolest fantasy backgrounds over there at the website, and the graphics there are very impressive.

Since this MySpace background is entitled “Fairy Shroom”, I would assume that this would be the mushroom habitat of fairies. I actually like the simplicity of this design. It’s regular mushrooms that have been made into a fantasy. The very fact that the mushrooms are blue gives it a very ethereal effect, and the sort of glow it gives out is a very nice touch. It’s set against a backdrop of a black night sky, which perfectly sets off the mushroom’s bluish shade. The fairies on the left and right side don’t look much like fairies, though. When I think of fairies I think of Peter Pan’s Tinkerbell. But the ones on this MySpace background, they look more like superheroes. *LOL*

I’m soooo hungry! Actually, I just had dinner an hour ago. Didn’t eat much, though, since the food kind of tasted bad… Too salty. I’m actually craving for a bit of McDonald’s cheeseburger and fries…. Hmmm… Yummy!!! What’s funny about McDonald’s french fries here in the Philippines is that each branch’s french fries sort of tastes different from the others. Is it just me, or would you agree? For instance, one of the McDonald’s branches here in Makati sort of tastes like sweet potato. And no, it’s not just them having a bad day. I’ve been there several times already and it still tastes like sweet potato… with salt.

All I can say about this MySpace background is… Yummy! What I would give to be able to reach into the screen and pull out real McDonald’s french fries! This MySpace background is very simple and very pristine. It’s predominantly white, giving it a clean and uncluttered appearance, and there you have the burger and large fries at the bottom left. It kind of looks like a cardboard cutout though, if you look at it carefully. And then there’s old Ronald McDonald the happy clown and poster boy of McDonald’s. He has his jolly face on, and his usual wave and pose similar to his statue that’s always situated in McDonald’s branches. The only thing that would make this MySpace background better is to have all McDonald’s buddies in the background with him as well. Speaking of which, there’s always been this ongoing debate… What exactly is Grimace?! Is he supposed to be a food that’s gone bad?! *LOL*

Honestly, the first time I watched High School Musical, I didn’t think that it was all that great. With the deluge of commercials and the countdown in Disney Channel promoting this movie, I had such high expectations for it. So high in fact, that the movie kind of fell short. The songs were all great as well as the dance scenes, but the plot itself was kind of too simple. When the movie ended, the only thing I thought was, “So that’s it?”

And then there was the High School Musical craze wherein everybody seemed to think it was great except for me. And then finally, because there were, in fact, just too many reruns of High School Musical, and since there was nothing better on TV I watched it, I eventually learned to like the movie.

This MySpace background is basically a collage of the cast of High School Musical– their group photos, to be exact. It kind of looks like something you’d see on a yearbook, which are of photos representing the best years and memories of High School. I actually got to watch the making of High School Musical, and it seemed like the actors all had fun making the movie. Which is what this MySpace background feels like for me…. a whole lot of fun. Among the many High School Musical MySpace backgrounds I’ve seen, this for me is actually the best. It shows friendship, camaraderie, and a whole lot of laughs and good times, which is what High School Musical is about.

American Idol Season 7 has finally ended, with David Cook declared as the new American Idol. So for all of you who’s been following this show and is a really big fan of rock sensation David Cook, here’s a MySpace background for you. I got this over at www.mygirlyspace.com

This is a rather good picture of David Cook. He looks like he’s in a solo concert here rather than merely performing at American Idol. He looks like he’s intensely focusing on playing his electric guitar, about to sing the lyrics to his famous song, “Time of My Life”. This picture of him is really great, and I like the border black boxes with the gray wave things in there. The only thing I don’t like in this MySpace background is the blue and yellow backdrop. Too completely extreme colors, if you ask me, which aren’t quite put together and doesn’t really go so well. Aside from that, they’re sooo not rocker-type colors at all! It’s sooo not David Cook. Give me some colors that scream angst like black or gray or silver instead, not some cutesy pastels or primary colors.

When my sister dragged me off to watch Disney’s “Enchanted”, I admit that I was a bit hesitant… To me, the trailer seemed a bit corny and kiddie. I mean, what could be remotely interesting about a fairy-tale princess that was let loose in New York?! To me, the only redeeming point it had was seeing a lot of Grey Anatomy’s McDreamy onscreen. But then when my sister told me that the movie garnered a lot of positive reviews, it got me curious enough to go along and watch it. Luckily, I did, because it really was quite an ‘enchanting’ movie. *pun intended*

This MySpace background basically features the movie poster of “Enchanted”. There you have Princess Giselle wearing her overblown princess ball gown, with her two leading men, Prince Charming (er… Edward) and divorce lawyer McDreamy. Ah, to be pursued by two really gorgeous guys… That would certainly be a dream come true… *LOL* You have there a backdrop of New York where the story basically takes place, with the very evil stepmother looming over the city. Funny thing, though. The picture doesn’t quite look like Susan Sarandon, the actress playing the part of the evil queen. She kind of looks like Sleeping Beauty’s Maleficent, although her face is a bit on the bluish side rather than green. This is actually a very nice layout although it looks kind of pixelated when blown up.
