Fashionista MySpace Background

Myspace Backgrounds No Comments »

If I were born with a silver spoon in my mouth, with lots and lots of my parents’ money to spend, I would probably make a career out of shopping. I would have Carrie Bradshaw’s closet full of gorgeous clothes and awesome shoes, and most probably a revolving closet like the one Hugh Grant has in Two Weeks Notice. I absolutely loooove to shop! But alas, the only shopping that I do is window shopping. Hence, a fashionista wannabe like me can only do so in my dreams. Here’s a Fashionista MySpace background for you guys out there like me. I got it over at www.mygirlyspace.com

I think this fashionista MySpace background is really girly and cool, don’t you? It’s actually sort of a montage of really cool fashionista icons such as the smoky-looking eyes, lips, shades, and the hip quotes such as "I’m not immature, I just know how to have fun", "Party like a rock star", and "Being normal is just crazy". For me, this MySpace background is representative of what being a really cool fashionista girl is all about: having lots of fun! Although this MySpace background is a composite of different pictures repeated over and over, it doesn’t look boring or like a gift wrapping paper. It’s too hip to remind me of a wrapping paper, period. Cool, fun, hip, and excitement, this is what this MySpace background is about!

Kung Fu Panda MySpace Background

Last Wednesday, I got dragged into watching Kung Fu Panda. I actually wanted to go home and go to bed early, but then I couldn’t say no. And anyways it was for free, so I went. I actually haven’t seen the trailer for this movie, but then a lot of people were saying that it was really good, so I got intrigued enough to go along and watch it. And boy, I’m glad I did! I kept laughing out loud the whole movie– it was that funny! And there are actually lines in the movie that made a lot of impact. For instance, when Master Oogway the Tortoise said something along the lines of, "Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, today is a very important gift, that is why today is called a PRESENT"… Nice, huh? And the secret to becoming successful? There is no secret. You just have to believe in yourself!

Anyway, this is a cool MySpace background I found for Kung Fu Panda which I got over at www.layouts.fm

And it’s Po, the Kung Fu Fighting Panda, the Furious Five (Masters Tigress, Crane, Monkey, Mantis, and Viper), together with Master Shifu, and the very evil Tai Lung. So far, this is the only MySpace background that I found on the Internet with most of the gang together. As usual, all of them look very serious and fierce and kung fu-like, with the exception of Po, who looks like his big jolly self, instead of the kung fu master that he supposedly is. I’m not sure whether the background where they’re at is of the town itself or of the Jade Palace, but all the same it looks like houses that belong to Chinatown! All in all, it’s one cool Kung Fu Panda MySpace background…

Nurse MySpace Background

Myspace Backgrounds No Comments »

I’ve always thought nurses had a glamorous job, based on what I saw from the movie Pearl Harbor. Scenario: very pretty nurse tends a wounded soldier and they fall in love and live happily ever after. However, reality is actually quite much different.

I’ve met quite a plethora of nursing students lately. With the demand of nurses in the US, UK, UAE and other countries, students (even doctors and some other professionals hailing from other fields) suddenly flock to take up nursing courses, lulled by the promise of greener pastures. It all seems so easy and the practical way to earn lots of money, but then I find out differently. Apparently, you have to first pass the NCLEX and IELTS exam, and the board exam, which only has a 60% passing rate. After which, you have to have at least 1-2 years’ worth of experience in hospitals. And get this, you even have to PAY the hospital to train you! Isn’t that totally funny? It’s like you have to pay your boss to let you work in his company! Sounds quite scammish to me! *LOL* And because right now there’s just sooo many nursing graduates, there’s a surplus of supply and the demand is becoming quite low. Apparently, according to a nurse I talked to, the US isn’t even hiring nurses anymore from the Philippines till 2010.

But anyway, let’s preserve the image of the nurse having quite a glamorous job. Here’s a MySpace background that perfectly encapsulates it. I got it from www.mygirlyspace.com

Now this is what guys want their nurses to look like! I do believe she forgot to put on her skirt! This is a kind of poster that belongs to a cartoonish Playboy magazine. *LOL* Her shoes look really weird though! Surrounding the pretty nurse is a backdrop of all things nursing. For instance, you have the watch, the injection, stethoscope, band-aid, thermometer, and other things that I don’t even know the name of. Red, gray and black basically dominate the colors of this MySpace background. The red is very much appropriate, considering that red is the color of passion, of amour, and the nurse having red hair and red stockings is a testament to that, since it’s a color meant to attract a guy.

Art MySpace Background

I just loooove art! If I weren’t an IT major in college, and if my parents didn’t consider Fine Arts as a not-so-practical course that’s not gonna make you a lot of money, I probably would have taken it. That aside, all I can do right now is just to dabble into a bit of art here and there, and basically admire artistic paintings which I see on display. Speaking of which, I found this really great artistic MySpace background on the Internet. I got it over at www.layouts.fm Get the codes for this MySpace background here Apparently, this is a piece done by Victoria Francés, who’s basically a Spanish artist who is famous for her goth illustrations. This is actually a great piece done by her. It’s very beautifully done, especially with the detail of the eyes. If I didn’t know that this was a goth-inspired illustration, I would assume that this person was crying and her mascara is simply running. They say that the eyes are the windows to the soul, and the person’s eyes in this MySpace background certainly looks like it has depth, that it has experienced and lived life in all its angst and pain. I especially like the twirly little detail on the right side of the eyes, because it makes the eyes certainly look prettier and more mystical. It looks like this person could be a fairy or some mystically enchanted creature. Totally love this MySpace background. Kudos to Victoria Francés!

Yoga MySpace Background

My sister is totally into yoga. Every morning after she wakes up, she pops her yoga dvd into the player and starts doing the daily exercises. This really boggles me, because for me yoga seems pretty boring… *yawn* I tried it once in the gym, and I didn’t really get the fuss about all that stretching and bending and breathing in and out. According to my sister, yoga is fun since it helps her relax and beat out all the stress. So for all you yogaholics out there like my sistah, here’s a cool MySpace background for you which I found over at www.layouts.fm Get the codes for this MySpace background here Since yoga is basically all about balance and peace and tranquility, this MySpace background is certainly the epitome of that. My sister became super bendable after doing yoga, as she can really gyrate into positions that would leave me squeamish just watching her. This lady in the picture is certainly no different. I certainly don’t think my body can do something like this. She’s got a good body posture going– just look at the way her legs are split with one pointing straight into the air. It all looks to be quite a feat, but beautiful all the same. This person is doing yoga amidst a beach, which is really the most perfect backdrop since beaches lend a sense of soothing quality. Add that to the atmosphere which looks like dawn is just breaking, the most peaceful time of the day, and it really gives you an air of tranquility, which is what yoga is all about.

Vampire MySpace Background

I’ve been on a vampire book binge lately. Don’t ask me why, but contemporary books suddenly bored me to death. Let’s just say that so far, novels with a modern day setting don’t quite inspire me to pick one up. What I like about vampire novels is the world-building. I feel like I’m learning about a new culture and a whole different class of people, with the usual battle for good and evil at the center of the conflict.

I actually found a really neat vampire MySpace background. Here it is. I got it over at www.freecodesource.com

Get the code for this MySpace background here

Pretty hot, huh? With the exception of the wings in the back, of course! *LOL* Vampires are supposed to be gorgeously seductive so that they can enthrall humans and feed from their necks. Well, this vamp certainly oozles with sex appeal! If it weren’t for the weird-looking wings in the back, I would assume that she’s just another playboy model. *LOL* Her hair is really long, curly and red, which I think is appropriate. Red-colored hair somewhat connotes sultriness, which is what a female vampire is. The wings are hideous, though… This background is done predominantly in red and black, from the vampire herself to the backdrop, and it’s a very apt color for a creature of the night.

Romantic Love MySpace Background

I’d just met my friend’s cousin’s boyfriend last night, and I must say, what a keeper! Apparently, they have a hush-hush relationship since the girl’s dad is just too strict. They come from a not so well off family, and so the guy apparently took on some part time jobs while still in school just to help her family out. And he’s not even her husband yet! What a keeper! Don’t ever let this guy go!

Speaking of which, here is a romantic MySpace background from www.codemylayout.com

Get the code for this MySpace background here

This is a really cool MySpace background, don’t you think so? It’s actually very appropriate for couples MySpace backgrounds, wherein it’s not just a single person’s but a couple’s. The picture of the couple about to kiss on the left side kind of looks like an ad campaign for Levi’s jeans. But then hey, it works– their body language, posture, everything. Even the pink background with the little hearts on top. The backdrop of the entire background is somewhat of a collage of words and pictures, with "Te Amo" which means "I love you" in Spanish as well as different scribblings and hearts. I like the fact that this MySpace background is basically done in black and white, as opposed to the usual red and pink-dominated backgrounds that I see. The black and white adds an element of mystery and of depth to the whole background which I really like. So kudos to whoever made this!
