Cool MySpace Backgrounds

Now this is actually a cool-looking MySpace background! It’s very simple and at the same time, somewhat girly but not too much! It’s something I saw over at www.mygirlyspace.com

Black is the ultimate coolest color for me, since whatever you pair with black comes out really, really cool! The main backdrop here is done in a dark color, and is actually divided into different symmetrical boxes, whose lines are shaded in various neon-looking colors such as pink and green and blue. It’s also dotted with seveal small stars, and what I find really neat is that this MySpace background isn’t too inundated with too much stars, and also too much color, making it look really simple and clean. The best thing that I like about this MySpace background is the message itself written on it: live laugh love, which spells what life is ultimately about. I like the swirly lacey thing that intersects it, and how it’s also shaded in the different colors of green, blue, and pink. Simple, neat, and perfect. That’s how this MySpace background is for me.

When you look at this MySpace background, it just looks like a black background with several pink and white flowers strewn together in the shape of a heart. But then when you actually blow it up and look at it closely, you can see that it’s actually not flowers, but fleur-de-lis. Well, alright, fleur-de-lis is sort of a flower… For those who don’t know it’s actually not a real flower, but rather an emblem often used in coat of arms or flags. It’s symbol is actually derived from a lily or iris flower. Although a fleur-de-lis is more politically symbolic in nature, it sure doesn’t look anything political in the MySpace background. It just looks like a pretty little thing to me. It’s actually set very creatively in this MySpace background, since you have silhouettes of hearts in pink and light gray whose edges are basically shaped as fleur-de-lis. Aside from that you have little bits of black, white, and light gray fleur-de-lis scattered all over, and what do you know, there’s an image of a pair of scissors sticking out. Does this imply that you’re sort of cutting the heart in half? Ouch! But all in all this is a really nice MySpace background. It gets a lot of points for creativity for me. 

I really appreciate MySpace backgrounds that are very simple. Backgrounds are there simply as an add-on. It’s not supposed to dominate the whole MySpace page and thereby take away the attention of viewers to the focal point of the entire page, which happens to be your profile. I really adore anything that’s in black. It’s the all-time classic, whether in fashion, or basically in general. Black and white for me makes the ultimate tandem, just like in this MySpace background. In here you can see little swirls and twirls in white on the upper right and lower left side of the MySpace background. All of those curls and swirls look really elegant to me, and at the same time feminine and tres chic! I like the fact that it’s on opposite sides and doesn’t dominate the entire page. It makes the background look more simple, neat and clean.

What I like about this MySpace background is that it’s very simple and very understated. Here you have two polaroid pictures of feet belonging to a guy and a girl alongside each other. And there’s something awefully cute about it. Unlike the usual love MySpace backgrounds I see of couples kissing or touching, here you have feet of the guy and the girl, which in itself communicates a form of togetherness. And what I find really cool about this background is the notebook paper on the top left with ‘Do you love me?’ written on it, with an "X" on the yes option. This whole MySpace background is done in black and white, giving it far more depth and character than cutesy pink and red love MySpace backgrounds.

Your MySpace background is also something that reflects a little bit of your personality. This is a MySpace background that totally screams “Peace!” Everything in this MySpace background gives off a feeling of serenity, of calm and freshness. You have here a picture of nature that is undisturbed and unpolluted, what with the blue, blue sky and clouds, while at the bottom you have very green grass that’s blowing in the breeze. I like the fact that the sky is done in varying shades of blue, ranging from sky blue to deep sea blue—it gives the color of the sky a bit more depth. Then in the blue sky you see a gray outline of the symbol for peace, which basically captures this whole background, since without it this would be just another scene of nature. It totally blends well, and if you’re an advocate of peace, this is a perfect MySpace background for you.

There are only a few movies that would impress me and make me go “wow”, and ‘The Pursuit of Happyness’ happens to be one of them. This movie basically chronicles the life of Chris Gardner, all the highs and lows of his life, and this movie would basically inspire you that wherever you are right now, anything in life is possible as long as you have the courage and the determination to see it through. This MySpace background basically features the movie poster of ‘The Pursuit of Happyness’. There you have Will Smith who plays Chris Gardner in a business attire, looking down at his real-life son Jaden Smith, who plays his son in the movie. Jaden is leaning into him and smiling, communicating the close bond between him and his dad. Superimposed upon this picture is another bit which features a scene from the movie, which is of Chris Gardner reading to his son. In this MySpace background, you can actually feel very much how much Chris Gardner loves his son, which is indeed very touching when you watch the whole movie. What I like about this whole MySpace background is that the pictures are all on the left and does not dominate the entire MySpace page. You can actually see the whole thing, since it’s not covered by your MySpace profile or anything.

Superman Returns is such a great movie. I thought that it was just going to be a remake of the original Superman movie, but it actually chronicles the continuing saga of the Superman series after Superman comes back after supposedly going off and leaving the Earth in search of his past. Brandon Routh plays Superman in this movie, and I must say that he kind of looks similar to Christopher Reeve, who played the original Superman. All I can say is that this guy is definitely one very hot package! His looks are so perfect that it looks to be computer generated! No flaws or whatever! *LOL* In this MySpace background you see Superman hovering with a half body pose at the top left. At his back is another profile of him in another angle, wherein most of his face is shadowed. The way that these two pictures are superimposed on one another looks pretty cool, huh? This background is basically all in blue, which is very appropriate, seeing that Superman’s whole costume is also in blue. So for all Brandon Routh or Superman fans, this is a great MySpace background for you.
