So I was surfing the Internet, looking for some really unique-looking and totally cool MySpace backgrounds, when I found a category that says “Art MySpace Backgrounds”. At first I thought that this category would be a bit drab, featuring Mona Lisa or other boring-type paintings which are converted to MySpace backgrounds, but then I was pleasantly surprised… The MySpace backgrounds that I found were really awesome! This is actually one of the coolest art MySpace backgrounds that I found over at www.pimp-my-profile.com

I happened to choose this MySpace background because I just adore blue… I’m not exactly sure what this picture is… It could be a logo, a spaceship, or maybe a sword? I honestly can’t tell. It looks great, though, a bit mysterious and high-tech looking. I like the many shapes and planes and angles that you see here, especially the play of color between the silver and blue. The shadings, the shadow, the lighting, it all looks like it can be part of a sci-fi movie or something! *LOL* The little blue ball of light shining is really interesting, since its glow kind of reflects outwards, making it look as if this really were a spaceship or something. Bottom line is that I’m not really sure what this picture exactly is, but I guess that that’s what makes art so interesting—its beauty lies in its very ambiguity.

I just loooove art! If I weren’t an IT major in college, and if my parents didn’t consider Fine Arts as a not-so-practical course that’s not gonna make you a lot of money, I probably would have taken it. That aside, all I can do right now is just to dabble into a bit of art here and there, and basically admire artistic paintings which I see on display. Speaking of which, I found this really great artistic MySpace background on the Internet. I got it over at www.layouts.fm

This is actually a great piece done by her. It’s very beautifully done, especially with the detail of the eyes. If I didn’t know that this was a goth-inspired illustration, I would assume that this person was crying and her mascara is simply running. They say that the eyes are the windows to the soul, and the person’s eyes in this MySpace background certainly looks like it has depth, that it has experienced and lived life in all its angst and pain. I especially like the twirly little detail on the right side of the eyes, because it makes the eyes certainly look prettier and more mystical. It looks like this person could be a fairy or some mystically enchanted creature. Totally love this MySpace background. Kudos to Victoria Francés!
