I’ve been on a vampire book binge lately. Don’t ask me why, but contemporary books suddenly bored me to death. Let’s just say that so far, novels with a modern day setting don’t quite inspire me to pick one up. What I like about vampire novels is the world-building. I feel like I’m learning about a new culture and a whole different class of people, with the usual battle for good and evil at the center of the conflict.

Pretty hot, huh? With the exception of the wings in the back, of course! *LOL* Vampires are supposed to be gorgeously seductive so that they can enthrall humans and feed from their necks. Well, this vamp certainly oozles with sex appeal! If it weren’t for the weird-looking wings in the back, I would assume that she’s just another playboy model. *LOL* Her hair is really long, curly and red, which I think is appropriate. Red-colored hair somewhat connotes sultriness, which is what a female vampire is. The wings are hideous, though… This background is done predominantly in red and black, from the vampire herself to the backdrop, and it’s a very apt color for a creature of the night.

I absolutely loooove reading romance novels, particularly one that features vampires in them. These vamps are always portrayed as either tortured heroes or heroines, who still manage to retain their humanity and find someone to love for all eternity. *Wait a minute!* Now I’m the one who’s getting all sappy.

Blame it all on it being Valentine’s day, but these Vampires are really cool and all-powerful, possessing supernatural strength and beauty. Here’s a really cool Vampire MySpace background for you to enjoy.

Now this is the ultimate portrayal of a female vampire in her prime! Although it’s kind of mildly “R-Rated” with her pose belonging to a Playboy magazine, it’s sexy and it reeks of evil, just like what a vampire is often purported to be. The red color theme of this whole MySpace background adds to the inherent vehemence to the background, with the red water (blood perhaps?) and skulls giving a sense of threat that this vampire doesn’t play nice. She’s very pretty and sexy, and I love the color of her skin, which gives her an ethereal glow, as well as her yellow cat-like eyes and a fang sort of peeking out from her mouth. It all screams that although she looks human, she’s really not. All in all, it’s one hot vampire MySpace background!
